PALMIYE LIGHTING · NIGERIA
Outdoor Lighting Poles for Projects in Nigeria
Turn an estate, campus or road-lighting concept into a clear equipment schedule. Compare pole designs, plan maintenance access and confirm the technical and shipment scope with Palmiye Lighting in Türkiye.

01 / FROM CONCEPT TO CONFIGURATION
Select Poles for the Way the Development Works
For a lighting project in Nigeria, begin with the areas people and vehicles use after dark. A gatehouse approach, a campus walkway and a service road need different mounting arrangements and distributions. Set out those applications before choosing a common finish or a signature pole form.
DARG V1
LED-Body Aluminium Poles
Review illuminated aluminium bodies for estate entrances, business parks and public spaces, with the road luminaire specified separately.
ROAD V2
Galvanised Steel Road Poles
Compare column height and outreach for access roads, then submit luminaire loading and the engineer’s structural design brief.
BARDI
Park and Garden Poles
Shortlist pedestrian-scale forms for campus walks and landscaped areas, coordinated with the designer’s glare and light-spill assessment.
For complementary products, review urban lighting poles, wall and post-top luminaires and path bollards. Send the proposed equipment version rather than only the collection name.
02 / PROJECT SELECTION WORKSHEET
Give Each Lighting Zone a Defined Purpose
An enquiry for a mixed development should identify which fittings illuminate traffic routes, which serve pedestrians and which contribute architectural character. Mark lighting-point numbers on the site plan and use the same references in the product schedule. This makes changes in height, brackets or optics visible when quotations are compared.
| Application | Design information | Review before quotation |
|---|---|---|
| Estate or business-park entrance | Gate geometry, vehicle turning paths, pedestrian routes and architectural palette. | Position the column outside required clearances and separate feature lighting from roadway illumination. |
| Campus or landscaped development | Walkways, building entrances, occupied windows and service access. | Coordinate glare, operating hours, maintenance routes and the identity of each lighting zone. |
| Road or infrastructure contract | Approved alignment, road geometry, existing assets and electrical design. | Link each proposed column to the lighting layout, structural inputs and technical document schedule. |
For example, an estate entrance with a central landscape feature may use LED-body columns at the approach and a different arrangement along the internal streets. The designer should calculate functional illumination for each zone. Illuminated body panels should be shown as a separate design element and electrical load.
03 / OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Plan How the Equipment Will Be Serviced
Ask the facilities team how vehicles will reach each column and how luminaires and electrical components will be accessed. Include the preferred access-door orientation, equipment identification and any spare-component schedule in the enquiry. Service requirements can influence a selection long before a replacement part is needed.
Provide the specified ambient-temperature range, dust and moisture exposure, coastal conditions where relevant, and the cleaning programme. A Lagos delivery destination and an Abuja delivery destination do not, on their own, define suitable equipment. Describe the actual installation environment and request confirmation for the selected material, finish and components.
Include bracket geometry, luminaire weight and projected area, and all attached equipment in the engineer’s structural brief. Foundations and anchors should be checked against the final configuration. Existing supports or foundations should only be reused following the project engineer’s assessment.
04 / ELECTRICAL INTERFACES
Make the Supply and Control Boundaries Explicit
Provide the electrical designer’s supply specification, earthing arrangement, protective-device requirements and proposed switching schedule. Where the lighting connects to a site management platform or another power system, identify the interface and the party responsible for integration and commissioning.
Keep the pole assembly, luminaire, controls and installation works as identifiable scope items. Request photometric files for the chosen luminaire and list any required dimming, surge protection or remote-monitoring functions. Their availability and compatibility must be confirmed for the quoted version.
Record the Acceptance Evidence
For each model, list the required drawing, structural information, luminaire data and test documents alongside the reviewer and deadline. Include any specified EN 40 criteria in the enquiry. General catalogue descriptions should not replace the tender’s product-specific submission requirements.
05 / SHIPMENT PREPARATION
Resolve Import Documentation Before Dispatch
The Standards Organisation of Nigeria describes SONCAP as a pre-shipment conformity programme for regulated imports. Ask your Nigerian importer and appointed conformity-assessment provider to confirm whether the actual goods and shipment fall within its scope, and which evidence is needed before dispatch. This page does not claim SONCAP approval for a model or consignment.
Supply the importer’s document checklist at quotation stage so availability and responsibilities can be agreed. Identify who prepares product information, arranges any required assessment and approves the final shipping documents. Do not assume a CE marking or ISO management-system certificate replaces a shipment-specific requirement.
State the named delivery point, whether pricing concerns a port or an inland destination, and who handles destination clearance, onward transport and unloading. Ask for packing dimensions and weights, the proposed production programme and phase labels. Confirm current import procedures with the responsible local team for the actual order.

Real Installations to Support the Design Review
The photographs below show completed Palmiye installations in Türkiye. They help illustrate scale and appearance; they are not Nigerian project references. Compare them with your site geometry and the proposed lighting calculations.

07 / BUYER QUESTIONS
Prepare a Reviewable Enquiry
Can an estate use one design family throughout?
A common design language can be explored, while heights, brackets and luminaires are selected by application. Separate the entrance, roads, parking and pedestrian routes in the equipment schedule.
Can you supply columns for our selected luminaires?
Send the luminaire dimensions, mounting interface, weight and projected area with the engineer’s design criteria. The assembly can then be reviewed without assuming that every fitting suits every column.
Is local Nigerian stock included?
Enquiries are handled directly by our team in Türkiye. Availability, production and freight scope are confirmed per order; this page does not represent a Nigerian warehouse or office.
What is the best starting information?
Send a site plan, a shortlist from the English catalogue, quantities, technical document requirements and the delivery destination. Include any approval deadline before requesting a production date.
